How we work
One of our core values is creating a safe space where you can feel heard and understood. As therapists, we will not try to mold you into someone convenient for others.
We are here to support you through the ups and downs of changes and challenges, and to help you discover who you truly are, what your interests and passions are, and how to connect with your own strengths.
The duration of your visits will be entirely your choice. Therapy doesn’t last forever. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. Overall, it has four stages:
Beginning. Connecting and learning about your wishes for therapy.
1
Developing a better understanding of yourself and building new skills.
2
Bringing new knowledge about yourself and new skills into daily life and making positive changes.
3
Celebrating growth. Ending therapy.
4
Depending on your goals, during the counseling session we can talk, focus on building up new skills that can help you be stronger and more successful, create art, or play - it’s always your choice.

FAQ
About the therapy for teens
How to set up a teen therapy appointment?
For minors under 18, a parent or guardian should contact the therapist to set up an appointment. Before the appointment, parents or guardians must sign consent forms for treatment and other required legal documents.
Who identifies goals for teen’s therapy?
Often, parents initiate counseling or therapy for their teen, and they have their own list of concerns they want addressed. This information is valuable for understanding the challenges the adolescent is facing. At the same time, the teen’s concerns and priorities may differ from those of the parents.
In short, the therapy process is effective only when teens choose and agree on what will be useful for them. The therapist’s role is to help the teen identify the objectives they believe will be beneficial. If needed, the therapist can facilitate communication between the teen and parents to help coordinate efforts and support.
