How we work
One of our core values is developing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where you and your child feel seen, heard, and understood as you truly are.
To ensure your child receives the best care, we involve parents/guardians in the therapeutic process by combining individual child sessions with parenting support and family sessions as needed.
Generally, therapy process has four stages:
Connecting and establishing therapy goals
1
In therapy, developing new levels of awareness and skills
2
Bringing new awareness and skills into daily life
3
Celebrating growth, and therapy conclusion
4
We believe that play is one of the most essential parts of being a child.
Play-based therapy helps children understand themselves better and learn new ways to cope with challenges. Through play, healing happens on a deeper level, beyond words.

Our therapists are highly trained in child therapy methods that incorporate play and creativity. Our space is filled with a wide variety of materials for sandplay, pretend play, and creative expression.

FAQ
About the child therapy
What does child therapy include?
one-on-one with child
family sessions
parents sessions
Depending on the nature of the issues and desired outcome, child therapy may include one-on-one therapy sessions with the child and family sessions where parents and other family members may be involved.

Additionally, separate sessions with parents are often needed, so the parents have guidance on how to support the child at home.
How long does therapy take?
The lengths of therapy can vary from a few sessions to a half a year or even a few years if the child and parents need more support. We as therapists are committed to help our clients in the most effective ways. Nevertheless, we can’t predict how long it might take.

The length of therapy depends on a variety of factors: the nature of the issues, the child's personality and skills, family dynamics, and how actively and effectively all adults will be involved in supporting the child.
Why do parents/guardians have to be involved?
Children depend on their environment. That’s why child therapy usually involves active participation of the caregivers. Therapists and parents may also need to coordinate the effort with the child’s school staff or a doctor.

Isn’t CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) the best solution for children?
Many parents are looking for CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) treatment for children because they read about the benefits of it. The truth is, there is no Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for kids without play.
